Printing methods compared.

Screen printing

Ink is pushed through a mesh screen, one screen per colour. Durable and vivid, with a very economical unit cost at volume.

Best for: Bulk orders with 1–4 solid colours on cotton and blends.

DTF (direct-to-film)

The design is printed onto film and heat-pressed onto the garment. Handles full colour and fine detail on most fabrics.

Best for: Full-colour logos, smaller runs, mixed garments and dark fabrics.

DTG (direct-to-garment)

The design is printed directly into the fabric with an inkjet process, giving a soft feel.

Best for: Detailed, photographic designs on cotton garments in smaller quantities.

Heat transfer & vinyl

Cut or printed transfers applied with heat and pressure.

Best for: Names and numbers, simple logos and personalised items.

Sublimation

Dye is transferred into polyester fibres, so the print will not crack or peel and can cover the whole garment.

Best for: All-over designs and team kits on white or light polyester.

FAQs 7 questions

Questions about custom printing.

Which printing method is cheapest?

For larger quantities with few colours, screen printing usually has the lowest cost per piece. For small runs or full-colour artwork, DTF is often more economical because it has no screen set-up per colour. We compare options in your quotation.

Will the print fade or crack?

Durability depends on the method, the ink and following the care instructions. Screen printing and sublimation are generally very durable; we recommend the method based on how the garments will be worn and washed.

What is the minimum order quantity for printed apparel?

Orders typically start from 25 pieces. The exact MOQ depends on the product and the branding method, and whether garments come from available stock or are made to order. Custom colours, custom labels and made-to-order production usually need higher quantities. We confirm the MOQ in your quotation.

How long does an order of printed apparel take?

It depends on quantity, the garment, the branding method and where it is sourced. Branding available stock garments in the UAE is typically quicker than made-to-order production from India or China, which also includes shipping time. Share your required date with your enquiry and we will confirm a realistic timeline in the quotation before you commit.

What artwork format do you need for our logo?

Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG) are best. A high-resolution PNG works for many printing methods. If you only have a low-resolution logo, let us know: artwork can be prepared or digitised for embroidery, and you approve a mock-up before production starts.

Do you issue quotations and invoices to companies?

Yes. Quotations and invoices are issued by MISHAREN TRADING LLC. We are not currently VAT-registered, so no VAT is added to our prices. Share your company name and address with your enquiry so the documents are prepared correctly.

Do you deliver across the UAE?

Yes. We deliver to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the other emirates. Delivery arrangements and any delivery charges are confirmed with your quotation.
